Also quoted from Chris Lanier, a poster he saw years ago on the wall of movie marketing executive Richard Smith, referring to the pressure the creative advertising people often feel to satisfy the executives by hitting every high-testing marketing points in the trailer, even if the trailer suffers creatively as a result:

"When the guys upstairs get exactly what they want,
They get exactly what they deserve."
